About Our Partnerships

Exercise Is Medicine (EIM) Japan was established on September 1st, 2018, as a subsidiary organization of the Japanese Association of Exercise Therapy and Prevention. EIM is a project for promoting sports and exercise therapy that was established by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) in the United States in 2007, and its specific operational objectives are as follows:

1. Developing a core curriculum for sports and exercise medicine for model schools
2. Developing easy-to-use physical activity assessment tools designed for use at clinics
3. Engaging in collaborative efforts to develop networks to link professional fitness instructors and doctors
4. Engaging in activities to raise awareness on sports, physical activity, exercise, and health
5. Establishing an international EIM Network

Today, more than 40 countries across the world now participate in this project, and project members work to coordinate their efforts with governmental organizations to address the specific conditions faced in each of their individual countries with the goal of integrating sports and exercise therapy into their respective health care systems. Here at EIM Japan, we are also engaged in proactive efforts to solve the issues faced by practitioners in the field of sports and exercise therapy, particularly at the local level, as we receive guidance from the Japanese Association of Exercise Therapy and Prevention, the ACSM, related ministries and agencies, and academic societies and organizations that focus on fields related to exercise therapy.

On this occasion, EIM Japan has decided to publicly announce that it is actively seeking to establish corporate partnerships with the aim of achieving its aforementioned operational objectives. Companies that enter into a partnership agreement with our organization shall be granted the right to make use of the accompanying logo (given in the following documents) on their products and/or services in Japan. Furthermore, as a corporate partner of our organization, companies will be able to join us in forming a cooperative relationship through which we can promote the further advance of sports and exercise therapy. We would be extremely grateful if you would consider entering into a partnership with EIM Japan. We look forward to your kind consideration.

CEPA

Clinical Exercise Physiologist Association: CEPA Japan is a subsidiary organization of the Japanese Association of Exercise Therapy and Prevention, and it is comprised of a network that is primarily focused on connecting health fitness instructors that work in the field of health care or at public welfare institutions and professional fitness instructors. It aims to help health fitness instructors that work in the field of health care or at public welfare institutions and professional fitness instructors to earn greater social recognition and to further improve upon their skills. In particular, the organization focuses on supporting patients that are living with chronic diseases (heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.), and it also assumes a role in helping to promote EIM Japan’s future activities in the field.
